Description
Cedrus atlantica is native to the Atlas Mountains of Morrocco, and can be found westward to the Rif and Tell Atlas of Algeria.
It is listed on the IUCN Red List as Endangered, and even today its population is decreasing in the wild, mainly by the hand of Man.
Thankfully, it has become a tree for gardeners, and can be seen in a number of Gardens around the UK. There has even been some hybridisation, to prolong the species in cultivation.
