What I like most is the humorous title on the right hand side! English wittiness!
Every event is commercialized, Valentine Day, then Easter, then "Back to school", then Halloween... Endless!

Did you read about a boy of 12 who was reprimanded by the police because he'd organised a picket protest outside Cameron's constituency offices in his small town? If not I put it in my journal.
What's going on in England?

I don't celebrate Christmas any more.

The lad was on the radio, & asked if the police have anything better to do
What's going on in England, soon we'll have civil unrest especially if we have a real hard winter. VAT goes up to 20% in January, and tuition fees are set to come in, in April

Blessings for the favour, m'deer

It's the lies the media are getting away with feeding people that are ****ing me off! . Twitter was very interesting the other night, because very reliable sources were tweeting live and telling people what was really going on.

I pointed out to some of my student friends that they are now paying for a service and Uni's are making a profit which makes them CUSTOMERS and therefore they have a right to expect a certain standard from their tutors. I was eligible for an LEA grant when I did my degree but had I been paying certainly would NOT have paid £3000 for the crappy standard of tuition I received! Also I didn't get full access to every aspect of the course because they didn't make arrangements for disabled students to go on the trips to London that were a compulsory part of the course.

Last year, UWE students wrote to the Principle and asked for their money back because their standard of teaching was so bad. They won that one!

But at the end of the day that that happens is that students will deliberately take jobs that come with wages that don't make them eligible to repay loans and fees until the debt dies - just like some do now.
