There's major re-development taking place over the winter. A new visitor centre/café is being built, an all glass affair up against the Outer Wall. The shape of the Well Pool is also being changed. The majority of staff there do Not like what's taking place.

If I'd know earlier I'd have chained myself to this willow [link] just outside the Palace, on Bishop's Green. They say there was a Planing Permission notice posted. I never saw it

Where it was is now a builder's yard, for the development of the Palace
I've got a few shots of the yard that I may put up here.
I don't need an island to retreat to. Help will be needed,
especially over the next few years.

Yes, an all glass affair, seating 40, a third of what the Undercroft can seat. It will also contain the shop.

Hmm....well I'm still annoyed with them about the tree but I suppose at least if it's class then you won't get the surroundings obscured by a walloping lump of brick. I wonder if the Swans will start coming to the cafe instead of ringing the bell?
