This is my entry in the KaijuDen Art Challenge for the month of June. I waited pretty long, but I figured that someone would have submitted something before me. Oh well, with this piece I think i might have overdone the illustration portion. I wanted it to come off as really showing off the characteristics of the monster. Yellow using a cloud background, brown for an earth background and the blue wisps for water. All pretty simple renders and blur techniques in order to showcase the Triphibian aspect of the monster. I really did like doing this and it gave me a chance to expand on some different ways to create something.This is the first time I used my wacom tablet, and I think it turned out pretty OK. Shading is a lot simpler now

Would be nice. I can see some creative stuff happening there. At least if it is more of a Showa style fight.

-A commendable effort and it's obvious that lots of time was taken into the piece. Ultimately it suffers from an overload of Photoshop effects, specifically the 'render clouds' effect.
- I totally get what you're doing here, with Gappa as the master of the three elements, complete with a neat little kung-fu pose from him. It's a very cleaver idea, but the effects do distract from the main focus. However, I also must admit that this came before your Gudis picture, showing that your attempts at dynamic poses and backgrounds are improving.

Well, its no big surprise that you contributed something, BUT THANK GOODNESS we got something Gappa thus far, especially with a little over two weeks to go. Not to belittle your innovative piece, but hopefully more is one the way; again, big thanks!

My bad; it was the 27th, but we moved it to the 30th, on the hope that more Gappa art is coming...and I sure hope that it is!
