Description
Here is the second image of our upload drive. This is the reincarnated form of the comet surfing monster Dorako. Simply called.....Re-Dorako. Get it?
Anyhoo, unlike the reincarnated form of Telesadon (both whom were brought back to life by Geronimon in the original Ultraman Series),....Dorako seems to have been given a new update to his look. Instead of having the hooks for hands...he was given actual hands... o_0 And then he was also given a crown of horns on his head.....
Look, I really don't know why his costume was changed and not Telesadon's. It just seems weird. But I boil it down to the fact that the script called for it. Pigmon, a tiny friendly kaiju, gets killed by one of the evil kaijus. He gets smooshed by the open fist of one of the monsters. Well.....it's sort of hard to do that if you have claws for hands. So maybe that is why they gave him hands? But if that is the case, then why not use Telesadon who had hands to begin with. Is it because he is not as evil or cool as the weird geometric pattern space bird? In the original script it was suppose to be Red King and Gomora being brought back to life by the Native American lizard shaman kaiju. Hence why Pigmon getting punched into the ground by a monster...(most likely Red King)....makes sense. So I guess they were too lazy to change the script and said, "hey, just give him some hands...noone will notice!"
Anywho, for the art I just used the original drawing I did of Dorako as a base and just gave him the upgrades to his look. I wanted to keep it as smiliar as I could See ya at the next monster tommrow!

I would venture to say Dorako. It honestly seemed like those monsters were former shells of themselves. I just don't see Telesdon being any good without his breath weapon. Plus the energy weapon that took him out was far less powerful than that damn rocket thing that ended Dorako.

Hooks. It's a bit more of a cooler look. Though I wish it had 1 whip hand like earlier promo shots show of the suit.

Nice work! Good job with the geometric patterns, that must have been tricky.
While I still like the Geronimon episode, I will admit that seeing Gomora and Red King revived would have made more sense since those two are considered to be two of Ultraman's toughest foes, especially Gomora. I'm guessing they scrapped that idea because the suits were too badly damaged from previous episodes for further use? I know Red King's costume was altered to create Aboras (a much cooler monster in my opinion, no offense to Red King lol), so that explains why Red King wasn't available for one last rematch...Though they TOTALLY could have brought Aboras back instead, I know I would have if I were Geronimon, acid spitting demon dinos for the win!
I'm guessing Gomora's suit was too badly damaged after his original two part storyline, Telesdon and Dorako were probably both in better shape, though I admit it is weird that out of all the monsters Geronimon could have revived, he brought back Dorako, who at this time was best known for being just some random monster who got his butt kicked by Red King XD.

Well the big problem is that the Gomora suit was used for another monster in the episodes before Geronimons. I don't think they had time to put it back the way it was. And I'm guessing that maybe a monster showing up 3 times (red King) in the same series is a bit of an overkill. Which I would agree with. Most tv series back then was in that "monster of the week" like vein. Don't bother with telling expanded stories and what not.

Of all the monsters Tsuburaya can bring back, his is just once even though the suit is still intact.

Well, I mean he was in the Galaxy Movie and then he was in the Galaxy series. Other than that, it has been pretty sparse. I don't know why though. I would love to see him get a beefed up form like Antlar and Bemular did. Maybe make one of his hands that coiled like whip extension that you see in early promotional shots of the original suit. Honestly though I would prefer to see the Powered version make a comeback. I think you could do a lot with that idea cause of the suit and the history that you could weave behind it.

To add salt to the injury, Dorako was meant to appear in Ultraman X movie with Silvergon and join Antlar and Golza. Dorako would have a power up as well like other monsters and would have face Tiga in an aerial combat but was turned down because Dorako's falling action when crashing the ground was... ugh... "less insectoid".
