It's a 1940 Pontiac. The 1939 Pontiac's headlights stood above the fenders. Sharp car, great photo!

My great grandparents used to have a pontiac of this era, i think it was a '38 or '39. I have some old slides of it in a box somewhere.

It was very neat. They sold it sometime in the 40's. I have a picture of it that is labeled "Last picture of the pontiac" taken in front of the capitol building in Washington D.C. (where they lived)
