Nice pic, but I still feel sadness for wild animals in captiviy, yes they have enough room and plenty of fish to eat, but it feels wrong to me that such powerful wild animals are stuck in artificial blue water, there's so much they're missing in the ocean..

Capturing orcas from the wild was banned in the '80s in the US. All the orcas at the SeaWorld parks that are in their 20's or younger have actually been born at the parks. Makaio is the youngest orca here in Orlando at 2 1/2 years old. His mom is Katina the oldest of the females in the Orlando pod. Dad is Tilikum. He was born after Dawn was killed. That is partly how he got his name, which means "gift" in Hawaiian. I've been trying to get a position at SeaWorld as a trainer. Still waiting on hearing something regarding the part time position at Discovery Cove. Tilikum is the ONLY orca I would not get in the water with here, but I know his history, and yes he is huge. I think Tilikum needs be retired and be able to live the rest of his life like Keiko did. I have heard of Winter. The Clearwater Aquarium isn't that far from Orlando. I have to see Winter though.
