Do you know what the difference is between a Llama and an Alpaca? There is an animal in a paddock near to us that looks like this, but we aren't sure which it is.

Per Wikipedia:
Alpacas and llamas differ in that alpacas have straight ears and llamas ears are rather long and slightly curved inward, characteristically known as "banana" shaped ears. Aside from these differences, llamas are on average 1-2 feet taller and proportionally bigger than alpacas.
Alpacas were bred for their coat (much as sheep were) and llamas were bread as pack animals.
