EDIT: I threw together a quick height chart to show you just how tall the characters are with one another. It will be updated the more I add characters to this world.

Like I said in the sketchdump I did of Earthsong , every now and again I'll be posting up some orignal stoof because reasons. More ponies shall be on the way, but until then, here's a sketchdump of some characters I've created (actually, Ellena isn't necessarily mine, but I'll get into that later). :3

So the initial sketches were mainly just for practice and weren't gonna get any sort of coloring, but I liked them so much I decided to clean them up a tad and add a bit of digital color to them. Because they're still practice runs (where the focus was to capture the character, not the anatomy) some of the anatomy may be off (especially in the human feet), but that's alright. They get the point across well enough. o3o

All three of these gals live and exist in the world Earthsong lives in! Their names are Reita (black haired girl), Kairos (brown haired gal), and Ellena, and aside from Reita (who's the newest), this is basically me sitting down and redesigning them to better fit the way I've always felt they looked like in my head. So, let's talk about the characters really fast, eh? c:

First up is Kai, her full name being is Kairos Cala Amour (roll the 'R's). She was originally made for an roleplaying website I used to frequent years ago but I ended up liking her so much that I often revisited her to try and make her a better character. If I remember correctly, the basic idea behind her was "bodyguard" because my buddy's character was a princess and needed one, and a bunch of my RP friends helped me develop her from being a copy of Toph (she was originally blind) to something cliche-ish but at least not a ripoff of an existing character: a werewolf soldier with a prosthetic arm. Aside from the initial design though, she was more or less another character with a very sad backstory and emotional constipation, with her feelings for her charge (Ellena) feeling very confusing and forbidden.

While she wasn't around for as long as Earthsong was, I've recently realized that Kai's character development sorta mirrors how I've grown more comfortable with myself. Kai was made during my first year in highschool, which I honestly don't remember much of other than feeling alienated for a variety of reasons. Unless you want to know I won't bore you with details of said feelings. But short version was I was insecure in highschool and Kai mirrored a lot of that insecurity. She continued to do so until the end of my sophmore year in college; I had begun to grow comfortable with myself in senior year but it was the end of sophmore year in college that I realized nothing was wrong with me, my highschool overall just sucked ass, and that I'm not the only one who's felt this way. After that Kai suddenly got a huge turnaround in her character, much like Earthsong did.

I changed her from being insecure and unsure with herself to what she is now: she's still a soldier and still the bodyguard of Ellena, but instead of quiet and passive now loud and unafraid of putting herself out there. She's very confident in herself (sometimes to the point of being cocky), she can be pushy, and she can be a overzealous, but she is compassionate, she's charming, she wears her heart on her sleeve, and she's head over paws in lesbians (bonus points for whomever gets that reference) with her girlfriend (which is still Ellena). As for what she is, she's no longer a werewolf... sorta. She's a shapeshifter like Earthsong, but she's a subspecies of shapeshifter that can transform into a weredog (basically a werewolf but instead of wolf, they look more dog when they transform). Which brings up a little funfact about Kai; she has no shame in playing fetch with someone. So long as someone throws a ball or a stick, she's game for playing for hours. xD

Up next is Reita Thomas. Like I said, she's relatively new so I haven't fleshed her out a lot yet, but this is what I have so far: she's one of Earthsong's best friends. She's human, 21, and probably one of the sweetest girls you could meet. She's short and skinny and eats like a whale, but she's into video games almost as much as Earthsong is. She's nice to a default, so much so that she's sometimes maybe too nice. As in, she's usually a pushover and perhaps a bit naive despite being an incredibly intelligent astrologist. She loves four-leaf clovers and she's afraid of heights, but that sometimes doesn't deter her from accompanying Earth on a pleasant leisure flight. :3

And finally, we have Ellena. Like I said before, she originally didn't (and still sorta doesn't) belong to me. She's actually the character an RP buddy made for a story a bunch of us was playing, which took place during a war between vampires, humans, werewolves, and other supernatural creatures (original, amirite?). I created the Empress of the vampires for that RP (I named her Agrafina Bakari) and he in turn created the Empress' little sister and heir, Ellena Bakari. If I remember right, she was originally a child before she was aged up to be a young woman, which happened around the time I created Kai to be her bodyguard. We RPed quite a few substories for the two in order to build their background and overall relationship with one another so we'd know better how'd they interact in the primary story, but I eventually stopped frequenting the site when stuff started getting really busy and I discovered my want for being an animator.

Even still, all that time spent with getting to know Ellena has made me a bit attached, so I continued to draw her and make what's essentially headcanons of her, including what you see here. Ellena in this world is still a vampire and the sister of Agrafina (thinking about changing her name), but instead of her sister being an Empress she's the Vice President of their country. And while she isn't a princess technically, Ellena is popular in the media (she's an icon of the fashion and party scene) and is often called the country's "Princess" (I really need a name for said country :/ ). Ellena is smooth-voiced, graceful, quick-witted, confident, and one of the biggest flirts you'll ever meet. She knows how to get what she wants, and what she wants, she'll always have in the end. She can be pretty haughty, self-absorbed, sometimes selfish and other times shallow, but overall she's a sweet girl with a sensitive heart.
