Description I've been watching Naruto for quite some time now and I think it's about time I did some Naruto fanart so here it is. Normally, I don't care for filler anime characters, but I happen to like Matsuri. Come on, Gaara needs more love (not necessarily romantic). And I also like how the girl has changed in Shippuuden. *puts up flame shield* If Shippuuden ever enters into filler-mode, I'd like to see more of Gaara and Matsuri. Aren't you a tad curious just what kind of jutsu Gaara taught the girl?

Gaara, Matsuri, and Shukaku of the Sand/Ichibi are all properties and are copyrighted to the ever so talented Masashi Kishimoto. Origami based jutsu... just what will he come up with next?

That background is kick ass 0_0 damn you and your good background and weapon skills!!! *shakesfist*
I think you did a very good job on Matsuri too. Gaara, you can tell is Gaara, but he looks too... buffed out. Almost looks bloated (I know you're having trouble still with anatomy, so I excuse it since you're learning still. And because, I still am too, lol)
You colored it pretty nicely, simple but effective. Just keep it up
And I like filler/minor characters sometimes... a lot. Plus, I gots my fan characters D: I r weirdo.

Eh... thanks The background is nothing special. It's just Sunagakure all blurred and filtered I used a screen shot of Gaara I took from episode 1 as reference where he was standing at the rooftop of his office and the wind was ruffling his robes, ergo the bloated appearance. I really should've taken that into account when I drew him, but I guess it sort of did not register in my mind at the time. I got really self conscious and insecure when I started drawing him and it shows Maybe I'll make him look less discombobulated in the next one.

Is the background a screenshot blurred and filtered or did you make it from scratch?
Don't fret it much hun, half the process of being an artist is making mistakes to learn from them and better yourself. Just do your best not to be as afraid, I am slowly conquering that and I find drawing much more enjoyable and challanging in a good way

I traced the BG using Paint Shop Pro and then modified it to my liking with Photoshop. I try not to let my fear get the best of me, but it's easier said than done. Oh well... I guess I'm gonna have to take your advice and just practice, practice, and practice some more

Ahhh, I see then. I need to download Paint Sho Pro someday, lol.
Oh I understand, I still get fearful and hesitant. All you can do is keep trying :3
