In the game "Half life 2"
An alien race should humans reproducing, therefore no more humans will be born.
You do not see any human children in half life 2.
It has been suggested that the combine grow human adults, either way it says that humans should be born.

The greek letter Lambda, in science it is used to represent wavelengths, in half life 1 you work for a company called Black Mesa with physics, you work for the special central area called the "Lambda Core" and in Half life 2 Lambda is now used as the symbol of the resistance (the remaining humans who fight the combine.)
