This is (somewhat) based off of the song "Goodbye To You" by Michelle Branch. The title comes from a line in the song that I thought it matched.
SPOILERS:
Okay so this is my interpretation of what happened in the Final Act during Kikyou's final death. After her body disappears her soul expands and roams over every one as if to say goodbye. Well this is my interpretation of how Kikyou said goodbye to Inuyasha before her soul ascended.
