this was pre-jurassic park when sornaensis raptors (jurassic park 3) were on isla nublar. because of how smart they were, up to 4 outbreaks at least occurred a week and John Hammond and the InGen B.O.Ds realised they were far too dangerous for a park environment. so nublarensis raptors were bred (jurassic park 1 and 2) with limited intelligence and were safer for a park environment. however, nublarensis raptors are still extremely intelligent (just not as much as sornaensis), able to open doors, and know that to get past an electric fence, you MUST NEVER attack the same place twice thereby systematically test the fence and gradually weaken it. but, there was a side effect to this "intelligence manipulation".........
nublarensis raptors developed a little mental instability making the unnaturally aggressive and giving the a blood curdling habit of killing game for sport and resulting to cannibalism. example- the Big One ( T-PEKC did an illustration of her [link] and don't mind the fact that he made them orange like the males instead of green,grey or black) a nublarensis raptor was the leader of 11 raptors and killed 8!!!!! for unknown reasons. they kill just for fun some times even when they are not hungry. and rather than formulating a well strategised plan, they just go wildly (but there is a good amount of common sense in their attack formulation) but it was still better than having sornaensis raptors in the park, that's for sure!!!!
