They say no one can make a rose…I say you can. Maybe a rose has never seen the way your eyes can laugh, the way your touch can spin me around so fast I'll do anything you want me to. I'll paint red on my lips and slip into heels, I'll laugh at something no one else thinks is funny and I'll fall over myself when you touch my skin the way no one has before. I'll make pancakes on a Monday night, and hide under the blankets during a storm, and I promise that I'll do as much as I can, every day, to see those blue eyes smile and feel that rose blossoming in my heart again.
