".... I thought I could explain what it was... what I saw... I kept telling myself it was a man in a suit-I could've been tired, disoriented, something!... but... My mind of doubt was cleared easily after the second witness... the time it came for me... it... it wasn't human... it was nothing like a human-nothing normal in the world could be used to describe something as horrific as this... Thing..."Slender Man is loved by many all over the internet... But many also see him as a tall slender figure of no particular threat. They see a faceless man they can connect with, a monster of darkness that appeals to their minds. But they don't always see the darker side of the monster...
All is not what it seems...
EC is being dark again. lulz.
Hope you guyz like this picture and disregard EC's dark compasion for art. XD

Yea! I LOVE IT. I feel that what slenderman would really be like. It's like a venus fly trap effect. A fly trap doesn't look menacing at first, until something gets stuck in jaws. It's great work! I would've never thought of it.Ā

Thats what I thought! Everyone sees slender man as a happy relatable creature, and thats not at all how any story in existence of SL is (except dumb fan-fics). So i made a pic to show how awful it can get.

To me, the fact that slenderman was faceless is what creeped me out. I guess it's more of a psychological fear, something that doesn't have eyes or ears but knows where you are anyway...
The pic is nice and all, but I like the faceless Slenderman better, just sayin'

Understand, but what I was going for in this picture is what u see when the Slendermans victims are taken. So many people portray him as faceless, or just with the faint outline of a face. But in this, I'm showing the darker side of Slenderman. What the victim would see after its been take... The ominous blank face transformed into one of expression, anger and rage...
That's why I drew this. Because so many people have grown comfortable and accustomed to his blank face they feel comfortable with it. That may even be your case, but I understand if u feel differently about it.
Either way, I'm happy with this pic, and I feel I did a good job with pencil and picture affect.

I guess I was always a fan of the MarbleHornets depiction of Slenderman. Where he would take control of his victim's minds, not kill them. Would probably be better for Slenderman to do something besides murder his victims, Jeff the killer already enough of that for several Creepypasta characters

yeah but SlenderMans original story was to kidnap children and kill and/or force insanity on adults. MarbleHornets, TribeTwelve, etc, kinda messed with his image. I like the concept of SlenderMan in general. And so, I drew this in order to perceive a darker side of this internet phenomenon, so that the comfort of SlenderMans original image is removed from the picture.

The question I would ask is did MarbleHornets really mess with the Slenderman mythos, or perhaps make it better..?; D

they became famous off the slender man myths. mainly because people believed the videos were real at first. then drama came in, the videos lost their enveloping pull, and a lot of people lost interest in MarbleHornets, but not the Slender Man. They only added the myths of mind control and gave the symbol of the circle-cross. They affected his image, can't really say they made it better.

I dunno, MarbleHornets is still quite popular, probably the most popular Slenderman video series out there. If people liked the pre-MarbleHornets Slenderman better then that's fine. As to the detractors of MarbleHornets I say this, I highly doubt that any of them could make a better Slenderman video series that becomes just as, if not more popular, then MarbleHornets.

Still, the differential nature here is his head isn't as big except for the dropping jaw, and his body and arms are more large and lumbering, as well as the tentacles on his back. He also lacks that alien like look and the mouth detail that looks like he was puckering up when his lips were sealed.
