AKA "Anything goes school of martial arts extreme beach volleyball."An idea I got while browsing around DA, and seeing this deviation. Cannon-strike by Demienvancope.
Trying to work on my art being more... interesting I guess, so this is taking me longer to try and make look at least partially correct than my old copy pasta poses.

Thanks! The main focus here was definitely the anatomy, and getting some action going. Many of my drawings are too static.

Heh. Ranma popped into mind, when I thought about someone kicking a volleyball violently across the net, since they turn everything into combat in Ranma 1/2
I drew that on my tablet laptop in the program Alias Sketchbook Pro.

Gosh, it's been a while since I read the last volume. I remember crazy things like eating contests, cook-offs, alligator fighting, etc. It sort of felt wrong that it ended without really settling anyone's problems.
Oh, I was thinking this was all done in red pen or something. Gotta check up on that program of yours... Sounds like it really does wonders.

As long as you have a tablet with pressure sensitivity, it does a really great job at making nice lines.
I watched the first couple seasons of Ranma. That's about it. Haven't bothered to read any of it, but I don't usually read manga anyway.

Ah ^^ I've tried tablet before, but it felt like I was drawing on paper in another dimension... Weird description, I know, but drawing on plastic and having it appear right on screen feels a whole lot different than when just using the pencil or brush tool in Photoshop. It's cleaner, but something you have to get used to, I guess.
The anime only went up to about half way through the manga until it ended... like most other Rumiku Takahashi mangas adapted to anime <.<

Yeah, drawing on a tablet takes a bit of getting used to, but it's nice the level of editing you can do. I never have to worry about erasing a hole in my paper yaknow?
Having a tablet laptop is nice cause I draw directly onto the screen, so I can look at what I'm doing.
Sounds like most manga that are adapted into anime.
