Just was looking at pics of Axel when I noticed he looked like a different dog when he was a pup. Now he is so majestic and noble, when he was a pup, he was such a dork and looked like a stuffed animal.Related content

They truly are amazing dogs. Just make sure you get one from a good breeder. It would be a shame if you got one with bad hips or eyes.

Thankfully I found a very good breeder and we are now best friends despite the 45 year age difference. She is going to be my mentor when I start my breeding kennel.

Same here. I was raised by dogs, so much so that I became a feral child. Fun for me, not so much for my parents who had to have me leashed so I wouldn't bite people while running around on all fours barking and howling.

Believe it or not, both pics are of the same dog. Axel is almost 3 years old, but he has changed so much, people don't recognize him.

I am going to work their next summer. They offered me a job at 15 and said I could stay in their cabin. I go there for wolf walks and that's how I get my photos of the wolves.

Yes, Axel is a purebred Siberian Husky. However, the breed standard is about 23 inches for a male at the withers, and Axel is around 28 inches. So most people confuse him for a wolf hybrid because of his size.

Yeah Axel is trained to pose to make my photography easier. I trained him myself. Well when Axel was a puppy, he was creamy and grey. Slowly he became more grey then he would change between grey and silver and grey and cream in the summer, then black and grey or black and cream in the winter.
It is normal for them to change colors depending on the season, temperature and climate they live in.

Wow, I wish I could get Kiora to do that. She always just stares at me when I am trying to take her photo, which is good in a way and not in others.
It looks like kiora is going to end up grey or black, her fur coat started cream and now has grey hairs all through it, dark grey too.

It will be hard to tell until it is either full on winter, or full on summer. After they molt is usually when you will figure out which colors will stay for the season.

She is only a tiny baby now in the process of getting her adult coat. She looks like she will be a dark, wolf grey.

Me too. I have vids of Axel trying to bury a bone in a cushion laying on the floor, and he would get so mad and would bark and shove his nose in it, trying to get it hidden. Or he would sleep on my chest and stay there all night.
But, I love him more than anything and he is the perfect dog now, so he makes up for the loss of adorable cuteness with spontaneous ways of making me remember him as a pup, by acting like he did almost 3 years ago.

Aww that's lovely(: Too bad I have only a few photos of my dog when he was little. But that was about 11 years ago... Time really flies! Now he is one old, wise, spoiled dog and I feel blessed to have him. 
Dogs are just wonderful, aren't they...
