In the past, I have just kind of stated that I didn't like the new layout.
Here's the reasons why.

The old layout was perfect. You had your messages right in the middle of the bar for easy access from anywhere on the screen. It's just a simple upwards motion and you're there. Then, right next to that, you had everything else you needed; the store, the submit button, the premium info, everything was right at your fingertips. Now they said "to hell with that!" and decided to cram everything into the top right hand corner. They claim this is for "convenience", but it is the single most inconvenient layout I have ever seen.

And then I see comments saying "It's not that bad" or "You'll get used to it". NO. I. HATE. THIS. It is designed to go against everything I've learned about deviantart in the past year that I've been on it. Everything is messed up and I can't navigate properly. All I want is for this utter crap to die in a fire.

"If you don't like it, then leave."

Yeah. That's a great idea. Except I have nowhere else to go. Despite the awful update, this is still my home. I love the community, the various options to spread your art to people all over the world, all of it. It's where I belong. I just wish they didn't pull this crap on us and force us to take it without a word.

To me, this is just another sign that I can't control my life and every waking hour is set out for me by other people and I'm supposed to take it?
