sorry for crappy coloring but I wanted to get this the way I wanted it to look before going to try to sleep.
New Species.
Very cute.
Velvety-feeling muzzle. uwu let the mind wander with those velvet lips and 3 prong tongue.
Species: Glowbeats
Their claw tips, and stomach, and horn glow.
One horn either on left or right side.
Females are 2x's bigger than the males.
Males tend to be darker colors (but its not unheard of to have a female with darker colors.
Typically 3 prime colors that are mixed at different shades of those 3 colors with accents being slightly brighter colors as they are the ones that glow.
Split hooves.
The one here has been captured and seen as a "Failure" (Too Docile for the person's liking for hunting)
Likes to stay perfectly still and has a central nervous system disorder that can cause them the inability to know which way is up and may cause for shaky body movements, unstable walking, and a head wobble. Because of this it is very hard for these creatures to hunt effectively by chasing something down so have taken to lying perfectly still or by simply using their mimickery ability to coax and lure people and prey to them.
For those that have this Equilibrium Disorder badly; ie the one in the picture, they are considered Failures and are refused the ability to mate or be bred with others of its kind.
Females have a bright pink, soft tan, and deep blue (Or other similar shades of colors) that glow brighter than the males to entice mates. The stomach is where the fur is the shortest, almost peach fuzz so the glowing skin is much more prominent and easier to see through said fur.
There is a large 'stripe' of thick fur on the back of the neck down to the base of the tail that help with making sure it doesn't take as much damage when being attacked from behind.
Despite being very fluffy they are actually part of the reptilian family.
The mammary glands only swell when pregnant and as they give birth to one large egg, the shell is very weak and more like a water balloon where she keeps it close until it hatches. From there, she will eat the yolk and eggshell, then proceed to allow the child to nurse off her.
So until it is pregnant the males and females will look almost identical with the exception of the darker colors of the males.
Their left or right eye is constantly swirling and is very hypnotic if they make eye contact with you.
Considering this; it means that even if you only catch one glimpse or one eye it is already too late so most are warned to wear black out sunglasses when they are in the cages of any captive ones lest they be damned to whatever the creature they are with desires.
The hues are always a deep purple and deep, blood red. But the way that it fades from one color to the next varies on each individual.
