Description
Here is Aria's updated profile for Heroic-Academy .
Name: Aria Lynn Tyler
Age: 18
Appearance: You can see what she looks like in the pictures above. Other things that are harder to tell from the doll maker pics are that her height is 5'8", she has a thin athletic body, a small chest, and not much in the way of curves.
Hero or Villain: Hero
Powers/Abilities: Super strength (Which she loves because it’s traditionally been a power only men seemed to possess. She’s the first female superhero she’s aware of who has this power.)
Alias: Titan
Lessons: Journalism, Creative Writing, Applied Maths, Forensics, Strength, Combined Sports, Power Use And Control, Music, and Psychology
Clubs: Music Club, Jousting Club, and Gardening Club
Roommate: Edwin Marrow [x] [x]
Personality: Aria’s greatest wish has always been to just be “one of the guys.” She acts like one, preferring men’s company to that of other women, etc. She likes more “masculine” hobbies and manners as well as a having a somewhat deep voice that just adds to her more “manly” persona. Aria is a sweet person for the most part, but she is mischievous and a bit of a prankster. She also has a sarcastic sense of humor and a sharp tongue when angered. Her natural curiosity and enthusiasm make her a good student for the most part. Sometimes she gets distracted and doesn’t always finish her work on time. She is intelligent, however, and does well if she can just stay on task. Her greatest strength is her tenacity, her “never say die” attitude. She refuses to quit until she finishes things (aside from homework perhaps). Her worst weakness is probably her stubborn, impatient nature. Her mom says it makes her resent authority. She’s never sure if that’s true or not, but they do argue a lot. Is it just because she’s her mother? Aria’s not really sure. She tries to behave at school but sometimes she blurts out things that make the teachers feel the same way her mother does.
Likes/Hobbies: Writing, playing guitar, singing when no one's around, listening to her extensive CD collection or MP3 player which she takes everywhere, constantly whistling some tune that’s stuck in her head, baseball, bowling, riding and working on motorcycles, camping, watching action movies, playing pranks, and reading/researching cryptozoology and paranormal powers. She loves to eat and can pack it away as well as any of the guys. She likes gardening. Her favorite vegetable is the cucumber. Her favorite fruit is the peach and her favorite flower is the sunflower.
Dislikes: Chick flicks, salad dressing, romance novels, snow (which stinks since she grew up in Minnesota), make-up, high heels, spiders, bullies, being made fun of because of for her deep voice and “masculine” manners, gender stereotypes, prejudices and biases, villains with no real motive to be evil
Best Friend(s): Rael Kess and Michael Flynn
Orientation: She has always considered herself to be straight but she tries to keep an open mind.
Significant Other: Raven Grey
Fun Fact(s): I've mentioned that she just wants to be one of the guys, but sometimes she feels that way in a literal sense. She's still interested in men romantically though. Hmm... I guess that means what she'd really like is to be a gay guy. Don't laugh. I'm serious. Another neat thing about Aria is her talent of mimicking other people’s voices. Comes in awfully handy when doing pranks.
Backstory: Aria was born into a middle-class family in Minnesota, USA. She was the oldest child followed by two brothers. They got along well for the most part and the same with her mother, but it was her father that impacted her life the most. From the start, Aria had been “daddy’s girl” and wanted to be just like him. He always treated her the same way he treated her brothers and so she learned to love being one of the boys rather than making friends with other girls. Aria did alright in school. Let's rephrase that. She was bright enough and got decent grades if she felt like paying attention. The trouble was that sometimes she just hated the other kids. Her deep voice and “masculine” mannerisms sometimes made them tease her. She frequently got into trouble for fighting with people, both verbally and physically. She sought refuge in music and writing. When she got to middle school things quickly worsened. She discovered her super-strength, like many heroes/villains, during puberty. Suddenly classes like P.E. were a disaster! She broke baseball bats. She hit and kicked balls far out of sight which is one thing when you're playing out of doors but when you're in the gym and you send a ball whizzing through the windows that's quite a different matter. She destroyed lanes at the bowling alley the class visited. When they started lifting weights, the 145 lb. girl could lift more than anyone in school including the teacher! Now fitting in was harder than ever! Some of the students and parents were starting to fear her, especially with her history of a violent temper and getting into fights. Her parents finally discovered the academy in their research into what could be affecting their only daughter. They thought that perhaps she would be happier there and hopefully learn to control her power. She's been at the school since she was 15. She likes it there for the most part. Lessons are interesting and she likes the teachers. She's happy that her powers no longer make her seem like some sort of freak but on the other hand, she is still frustratingly not making many friends. Girls have little in common with her and most guys aren't interested in hanging out with a girl who can sometimes act more manly than they do. They certainly aren't interested in dating one! So she spent most of her time alone until Michael Flynn showed up at the beginning of the year. Being soft-spoken and artistic, perhaps even homosexual (no one is really sure), he never seemed to have his masculinity threatened by having a friend like her. He's a good listener and his laugh is infectious. He even seems to like the fact that she sort of unofficially adopted the newbie and has made it her mission to look out for him. They can be found together nearly all the time. The other person that is never far from her side is Rael Kess. He was her neighbor back home in the USA and she helped him get into the school after discovering that he too had powers. They have a lot of fun together, playing pranks, causing mischief, and just kidding around. They're also dating siblings so that means they can double date a lot. Many people think they might as well be siblings themselves. So she stays busy keeping Rael from causing TOO much trouble and doing her best to loosen up Michael so he can have some fun. She's just a busy, happy gal in general!
