Nikki and Brandon decide to train Luna since she has their powers. Brandon is thinking about training Loki since he has dark powers just like he does. some of the mean children start calling Luna and Loki a teacher's pet due to being trained by royalty themselves, but Nikki overheard them and tell them that name-calling is not allowed. taking a break from their training, Luna and Loki play a game of hide and seek now that they are becoming more experienced in their powers. however, unlike normal hide-and-seek, there is a twist: Loki uses his powers of shadow. Luna is able to sense him thanks to her light magic but doesn't use it in the game to keep it fair. Loki hides in Luna's shadow and Luna turns her head and senses Loki's presence with a smile. Luma swiftly turns around and catches Loki. With Loki found, Luna and Loki laugh at the fun time they had. The two decide to become good friends. Nikki and Brandon sit at Luna and Loki's table to inform Luna that they are deeply sorry for not spending enough time with her due to their missions and royal duties. but Luna finally understands why since they are important people. Loki is free to play with Luna while Nikki and Brandon are away under the watchful eye of aunt Autumn.
part 8: the bullies' trap
once lunchtime is over, Loki and Luna go out to resume their training. however, a group of bullies gets Luna's attention to show her a secret. Once Luna is lured to the bullies' "secret", they tie her up and lock her in a closet building. with Luna tied up, the bullies now plan to become Nikki and Brandon's teacher's pet because they are more experienced in their powers than the rest of the children and could possibly be the most powerful of them all. as the bullies walk away with Luna locked up in the closet, Loki has spied on the whole scenario and reports what the bullies did to Luna to Nikki and Brandon. shocked, Nikki and Brandon rush to find Luna. relived that Luna is okay, Nikki and Brandon kick the bullies out of the camp for their bad behavior. with the bullies dealt with, the camp can be a little bit more peaceful.

Loki and Mr. Levia lock eyes and are happy to see each other. Loki tells Mr. Levia about his time at the camp, as well as prince Brandon teaches him how to use his dark powers in person. Mr. Levia is thankful a dark magic user like Brandon taught him how to use his magic. Loki also tells his father that he made friends with Luna. seeing Loki happy he has found a friend, he allows him to visit Luna as long as he asks permission to go out first. as Mr. Levia and Loki return home, Brandon wonders if Loki got his powers from Mr. Levia.
part 10: unstable magic
once Mr. Levia and Loki return home, Loki suddenly starts coughing hard. Mr. Levia noticed that Loki's body is starting to melt lightly. realizing that Loki's body and magic are unstable, Mr. Levia injects a syringe that stabilizes his body as Loki loses consciousness, with Loki asleep, Mr. Levia is forced to put Loki into the same rejuvenation tank as when he was materializing in order to stabilize his body. Mr. Levia realizes that Loki's body and magic go unstable when he is not taking any stabilizing medicine. Loki must've gone a full week without any stabilizers, and he was careless not to pay any attention to any downsides. Mr. Levia decides that from here on out Loki will need to sleep in his rejuvenation tank to stabilize his body and magic. he also guesses that Loki's magic will be more stable if he grows up, but he is still happy to have the son he once lost.
