I found some old cardboard sheet from a thing I ordered online. Instead of throwing it out, I decided to draw something on it. I haven't used colored pencils in SO LONG! And pressing into cardboard was rough on my hands, haha.Related content

I really love your use of color in this work it really creates a sense depth especially with the background. Your background is done really well from the line work to the different colors you used, it doesn't take away from the main focus of the the picture which is the animals it really creates and frames the picture well.I really love the lightening in this you know exactly where to put the whites on the animals and plants!Your shapes and animal drawings are really good!
I honestly cannot find a con with this drawing its done wonderfully!!!

First off, absolutely beautiful piece, and I admire your use of mediums!
I don't have much in the way of critique, because I already feel like this piece is at the point of perfection, at least it is for me. The minimal use of white highlights really brings out the color in this one. The blurred background makes the animals pop out more and provides realistic depth of field. I also love your use of colors, they're vibrant yet easy on the eyes. Well done overall

I think I could have done with better planning (drew it as I went) and improved the background, but overall I'm quite pleased with the result; I hadn't done anything with colored pencils for so long. Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed my use of colors and highlights; I think over the years I'm managed to adjust my coloring such that it is colorful but not eye-stabbing.Β

I actually haven't drawn very much, been doing a lot of lurking the past few years
I get a surge of artistic commitment every start of the summer, and then I disappear again when school starts. It's a terrible cycle of me getting people's hopes up that I'm actually drawing again, and then I hide away for like 9 months.

People's been improving like mad everywhere I feel so left behind haha. Should start practicing but the feeling's not the same as it was before. Maybe I am getting old. xD
It's great to see your art again. Most people I know on dA are either on hiatus or not as active as before. xD;; Guess everyone's busy with their life. ;^;Β
