I'm rather surprised. In a good way of course but surprised in the end. Most of your photographs are ethereal or angelical while this looks a bit more "commercial". I don't mean to offend you, it's just the way it comes to my eyes, it´s not bad, just a surprise for me.

That being said, I do agree with you... It is more commercial and, for lack of a better word, probably a lot less "subtle" than my usual work...
It's always fun to try new things and I feel it's important to also listen to the idea of the models I work with even if sometimes it doesn't match with my usual style... It forces me out of my comfort zone. In this case, the model wanted something more with a more sexy/glamour look and we came up with this image that I think did work well!

Yes, "subtle" is a word that i woldn't use to describe this, specially with the necklace pointing vertically down and the shirt being pulled right between the legs ... it's the kind of image one would use to teach people how the absence of clothes in a picture desn't necessarily makes it erotic nor the presence of it makes it not; now about you testing this commercial waters the thing is that you know how to make a picture look that way and you can do it on purpose if you want, so it's an strategy you can use to achieve a aprticular goal, therefore it's a merit. The problem with "men's magazines" is that they do the same always, like they didn't knew other way to shoot a photo, or their audience was so simple that will always buy exactly the same product.

Anyway, it's always nice to be able to do the various styles! I want to be able to give the different options to models so that they get what they want as well (in the case of this image is was a specific request from the model)! Anyway, for men's magazine I absolutely agree with you... There is very little change to the "recipe" they use time and time again...

I guess necklaces are simply intended to enhance parts of women's body: the head, neck, shoulders or in this case breast, it's just how they were designed.
Ha, ha, yes, well, i say "Men's magazines" in quotation marks because in spite of being the used way to call stuff like Maxim, Men's Health, etc. they don't represent my tastes nor interests as a man ... actually i think they give a bad name to good quality erotic photographers ... most of them are obscene in the very meaning of the word, but i don't want to talk about such crap ...
By the way, i'm opening a new gallery which is meant to replace JPCespedes, so if a mysterious suddenly adds you to his watch list please don't be afraid it's just me trying to keep in touch with my old contacts.
