Texas. 45 years after humanity tore itself apart over dwindling resources. How strange that it takes a species near extiction to stop killing eachother. Well, maybe that's misleading. It still happens, just not as globally. Now the few remaining places with resources have hevily fortified themselves. We call them Pit Stops. Each one is different, but the most valuable ones are those sitting on top of oil deposits. They give their resources spareingly. Only trading for something of equal value. This is a world shere you might actually trade your car for gas money. They have to be cautious though. Those walls keep Siphoners out. Relentless bandit gangs that just want the resources for themselves, but will most likely squander them celebrating that they have them. If they get so much as a drop of oil, it's a loss for humanity.
