I'm usually pretty terrible at shading.. so i thought i would give it another go.It's difficult to make it not look dramatic, but after Paul helped me by telling me to remove some of the more human shaded parts, im quite happy with the result.
Not sure which of these is better, i think i prefer the one on the right for animation, but the one on the left for drawings and stuff.. but what do you guys think?

Sai does have a airbrush tool, and a blur tool :3
But edd could use anything, i just know sai does have those things.

Well I like the left one for pictures because I usually blur my shading xD actually thats what I always do. LOL
But the right one is good for animations. It's easier for you

The block shading one is great for animation, true, and the blended shading is great for drawings, but the problem is:
I can't help but notice the face isn't shaded. If it's like that, the face looks flat. Don't take it the wrong way, I love your comics and animations without the shadings, but if anything, shade the face too.

I prefer right, because it keeps more of the comic-like feel.

Keep it all like the cel-shading on the right.
When people just blur shading that they had already laid down as flat, it doesn't look so great.
If you're going to do soft-shading, lay it down soft.

The right shading is a lot more well defined, while the left is more abstract and cartoony. So yeah, I'd agree that the right shading would be better-suited for animations.
