Description My other Bioshock Infinite artwork:

Photoshop CS6: Painting.
Working hours: 12 hrs

Artistic pointers:
- The main focus, or the anchor in this piece is Elizabeth's pure delicate hand resting on the Songbird's beak, it emphasize the connection between these two best friends, who ends up in a tragic tale for one of them.
- The Songbird's eye is pivotal in this artwork because it's the only presence of warmth (in contrast with the cold atmosphere) and it's conveys his inner soul as a protector.
- The light beam cut across them symbolizes ironical dissonance, they are together but yet they are apart.
- Facing Elizabeth away from the viewer's creates this obscurity, hence using subtle cues and body language to portray her emotion.
- Went with the classic Bioshock dark 'underwater' color scheme, personally it feels like a Bioshock game ;D

Hi Eddy, I love this one so much! Is this the highest resolution you have of it or is the original even higher?Β  I'm trying to make a surprise for my wife and she loves this game a lot.Β

If you should ever leave me
Though life would go on, believe me:
The world could show nothing to me,
So what good does living do me?

God only knows what I'd be without you...
God only knows what I' be without you.

We all heard his song within an hour or two of starting the game.Β  The Biggest, mostΒ dedicated Daddy of them all.Β

Poor thing.

Yes, I would love to see you draw this artwork!

But a word of discretion, the values of this artwork requires very deep shading, it won't have the same emotional effect if you make a bright work, and also textures that really contributes to it.
Hope these won't be much of an issue for you, do notify me wen you've finish the work, I want to see it soon

Great that you like this one! She's such a complex character that I was compelled to paint this very depiction of her with the misunderstood songbird, something more melancholic than my two other ones.

snowcrate In reply to Eddy-Shinjuku [2013-07-26 15:29:34 +0000 UTC]

That's I was feeling when I saw this one, the moment is perfect. The colors are cold, wet but the luminosity on Elizabeth and the eye of Songbird are strangely warm. Well... I don't know how explain (that surely incomprehensible x)) but I love the atmosphere of this drawing. x3

Eddy-Shinjuku In reply to snowcrate [2013-07-27 18:42:30 +0000 UTC]

Yup, I've written the 'Artistic Pointers' so you can grasp my intention here
The rest is up to the viewers interpretation, some even think that Songbird is in the water and a glass pane separates them haha
This is not an event, but a 'metaphorical moment'

Yay and nay at the same time with the multiverse theory
It explained what is the "Infinite" in B:I though all that comes down pretty heavy in the ending portion of the game instead of gradually getting there throughout the game, I mean, it was a handful to digest.
You should Google up reviews of the ending too, there's like up to 20++ brilliantly written articles I found

Of course, now you know why I drew sweet Elizabeth

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BattleJesus In reply to Eddy-Shinjuku [2013-07-18 04:51:10 +0000 UTC]

But what makes it well done is that there's several hints to it throughout the game, that once you get to the ending, all make sense. The tears themselves were a pretty obvious one, even

And yes, she's definitely an extremely well-done character, as well as Booker.

Eddy-Shinjuku In reply to BattleJesus [2013-07-18 05:08:11 +0000 UTC]

True, but I wasn't ready for the idea of infinite universes dished out in the game, maybe just couple of dozens lol

Btw, they said Rapture was not in the same universe as Columbia, but when they gotten to Rapture (mind-blowned!) it got me thinking maybe Eleanor in Bioshock 2 is another version of Elizabeth.
They both are referred to 'Lamb' (Eleanor Lamb & Lamb of Coloumbia), are sort of adopted, has a dad protagonist, socially isolated and groomed, name starts with "E", etc. etc.

Anyways, have you checked out my Eleanor piece? huhu

Yeah, there was definitely a plot-dump near the end, but I like those. Gives you something to think about after the game is done

And perhaps, but I cannot comment on that, as I've not played the first two Bioshocks. Popped my biocherry with this one, though I'll probably got through the first two now

Yes, I have I believe I have it favourited

Eddy-Shinjuku In reply to BattleJesus [2013-07-18 05:24:37 +0000 UTC]

Awesome! B:I seems these days like the gateway to the Bioshock franchise for those who missed out; expect madness, beautiful eeriness and long-lingering afterthoughts from the endings in the first two though. There's a reason why Hollywood dropped the project to make a movie of it due to it's PG13++ nature.
