Nice idea. The picture looks as awesome as the concept is.
However, can it also stick on walls or is it mainly for jumping?
Also, can you explain the weapons or does the picture say everything?
Just curious because I can't tell if the barrel in the middle is supposed to be used for sniping or tank fire.

The middle barrel dispense 50cal - it's a sniper. Basically a shooter and a spotter at once; meaning they have at least 90% accuracy down range and shoots consecutively once every bullet hit objects or target - the build-in spotter system needs only microseconds to calculate the physics for the next round, so imagine them shooting every 4-5 seconds pretty accurately (under 1/2 miles range)
Because of their high use of fuel/energy for leaping (even considering we have harness fusion energy in the future), they are use for pursuit and tracking purpose ala 'blitzkrieg'style and not for long stake-out sort of situation - means the character here deploys it when a target is confirmed and ready to detain or eliminate
They usually work in a swarm of 3 and high on rooftops in sentry mode, it's impossible to evade their triangulation. Also your question, they don't really stick to walls but often spotted high on roof top with glaring 'red eyes' as the local folks dub them in a demonic sense
Personally, when I come up with them, the main goal is to create an indifferent mech in a game, imagine playing a futuristic FPS game and have to deal with them - they jump around which encourages you to shoot them mid air because it's hard to get them once they landed - plus the dreading feeling that they will jump over or stomp you while you are in cover haha
On top of that, they employ psychological warfare, emitting loud banhsee-like screeching to disorientate you, it basically will make it sounds like they are in your head
Don't mind the tl;dr post
Thanks for dropping by!

Wow, there's a huge knowledge bomb dropped on me there. Really appreciate it since this description has been nice to read.
So much of the features seem cool, although they seem to make the mech kind of OP. But I guess that's what happens when we consider future technology, especially fusion energy.
Excellent job on the artistic and description design. I hope you can continue to share these kind of pictures.

Good point, Ghost in the Shell did bring up that field and Watch Dogs is going to be an even more interesting view of that.
Despite being poor, Watch Dog release reaction:

And since they operate in swarms when necessary, you don't stand a chance if you outrun one, and another is around a corner. Cool concept.

Nice work. I always guessed sketchup could be used for making other objects, but never saw anyone use it for anything besides buildings or landscapes.
Since the Grasshoppers are huge, shouldn't you be able to get away from them via alley ways, tunnels and sewers? It seems like they are good for climbing and far distances but not small spaces.
