This has a great balance in terms of blacks and whites. I love how the fence is straight and composed, and how it seems to narrow down into the tree which is little more than a chaotic silhouette that spreads into the gray sky... I love it!

with this perspective, the fence leads your eyes away from it to the tree and the scattered clouds. you might want to think how to make the fence the center of the view.

i would in general recommend sizing the photos down a lil so we can see the image all in one screen

I really like this picture, but the only problem I have with it is the broken fence.

I really like this one, Ive done like fence pieces before, and if you really want the emotion to come across it needs to be Really broken, and better to be in B and W you got both, a great piece!!

i think that the use of black and white photography works really well here! it really adds to the sense of looking back to the past which you create with the milton quote! i like the way that the fense leads the eye but i dunno if the angle is quite right!

There is a certain feel to this photo, with the tree right at the end and the broken fence... I really like it. I'm not particularly good at giving critiques on photos, does my fave say enough?

Nice compositon with what apprears like four equal but opposing yet complimenting textures in the fence, grass, tree and sky. I really like it, very well done!

Amazing composition man, quite possibly your best piece to date, and that says a lot because you consistently post great work. I personally like the choice of black & white, it adds a lot to the overall feel of the shot and really does help the detail of the fence. Great work man

I really like the angle of this, and the sort of feel you get from the tree and the destruction of the fence. Though, oddly enough, I think this may have benifited from being in color. The black and white look just gets rid of some of the detail that could normally increase the effect you were going for. Though, maybe I just don't know anything about photography.

teh grass here was wayyy to green and the sky was too bright..it would've created a lot of distracting reflections..and alsoi wanted to seethe detail in the fence..so yuh =]
