Giorgio, ( DOF) stands for depth of field. It refers to the amount of focus before the subject and behind the subject which is in focus in the scene. This is usualy accomplished with the AV setting on the camera. I hope I haven't confused you. In your pic the foreground was super sharp, as well as the back. There is a web site I would like you to visit which explains it further. I will send it when I find the info.

I don't like abbreviations, but I find myself using them when I get in a hurry! I sometimes forget the miles between us. I hope I did not offend you my friend?
