In my fan-fic CASPER IN OZ, Tin Man may not have been ever a human. This was implied in a chapter in THE TIN SOLDIRT OF OZ where Tim Man finds his old human head in a closet and has an argument with it. In my fan-fic, the lost human parts were reassembled without Tin Man's knowledge -or permission.
