Description This is the finished pic of the full size Gunblade (from Final Fantasy 8) replica I built for my sister for her birthday.
Made from MDF and bondo, pretty happy with the result seeing as I've never built anything like this before

Do you think you could trace the gunblade onto some paper and put it up, I'm looking to build my own, but I need measurements.Β  Templates would be fantastic.

the original blueprint came from online, I did a search for it and found a pdf document to download, not sure if I still have it but I still should have a rough print out somewhere, I remember the blade is 1 metre in length

searched google images for a while then printed it out and scratched the design onto the blade then engraved it

yeh planning on doing more of this sort of stuff since this first one came out decent. Setting up a proper work space at the moment but will be doing more Final Fantasy and some Fallout replicas in the future

thanks. worked on it over a week, took probably 10-15 hours as I didn't really know HOW to make it ha, now I could probably build it in 6-8 hours (carving/sanding with a dremel takes a while). I plan on doing more unusual stuff like this

it's possible. not sure how much the shipping would be tho...quite a big heavy item. it's made of wood and plastic but i've thought of making a mold somehow and make fibreglass copies.
Going to be doing lots more items like this, probably more gunblades too

These actually exisited at one point in history, before cartridges though, it was all fuse and powder... They didnt last long because the power would spill out when you swung the knife/sword. XD
