Firstly I thought it is hybrid with some peregrine but now I read this bird is a gyrfalcon

He is technically a black phase Gyrfalcon, but his feathers have lightened up in his old age. He has been retired for several years now. He used to be a great falconry bird, did bird abatement, and was breeding bird for a little while as well.
