I have been able to only photograph one Grizzly close up not in a zoo setting.
It was up in Montana...and He was so beautiful...this photo is wonderful but
until you see the Grizzly, he cannot really be appreciated

This exhibit was pretty cool, though the fencing allowed you to get way too close for comfort without supervision. I could have easily reached over and been within reaching distance of them.
They were incredibly playful and active however. There was one that kept following me and sitting in front of me against the fence. Every time I would move, he would follow. I decided to run down the length of the exhibit, and he ran with me. It was and incredibly cool experience, with the relative safety of the fence lol!
