it's that split second sort of thing where everything just stops, there's no sound or anything, and maybe the scene twitches or smears a bit, and then the blast hits, and everything goes all to hell....lol, i can be kinda bad at explaining things....

i have no idea how to make tutorials, but the technique i use is no secrete, its actually 1 single technique that i expand on, and all the photos i use are specifically taken for manisp as such, though the pic used in this manip was was kyles in all respects, but yeah, just go to [link] an dlook up fire, any of the tutprials you find will work cause they all are base don the same principles, but if your still lost then let me knwo an di will tell you how to make it myself, it just takes time and imagination, watching anime and having a flare for the dramatics also help, but i taught myself all these thigns, when i find thati wanan try sumtin new, i just play around, liek when i did the wind technique, if i can do it , anyoen can do it hahaha, an dno im not tryign to be selfihs, im just lazy, and i belive everyoen is equal, but im glad you liek the pic

Really like the blending of realism and surreal in this piece. The blast kindda reminds me of a scene from Warriors of Zu (I think that's what it was called).
I think the piece's prolly look better w/o the wind-filter on Spazz, but it's not much of a distraction ^_^.

the warriors of zu.... i think i knwo which one you mean, when they are flyin gin the air and fihitng with teir "swords" which were actuallybeams of enrygy, i wanted to make it seem like the enervy was so emmense that spazz'z silhoutet was being blown back, the wind filter was th eonly thingi could think of, which one do you thin k woulda made it look better if not for wind?

Perhaps doing a replicate layer and reducing the opacity of the new layer to add a kind of blurred shadow effect? I dunno, the main reason I didn't like the wind is that it kind of made the person look like more of a cutout (especially around the legs; maybe just using an edge blur after the wind?)
