Is Goenitz a match for a wind god like Fujin?

I would put my money on Fuujin;
as Goenitz is part of Orochi and Shinto gods>Orochi, I think?

Goenitz, Master of Wind.

Agreed! Also when time travel happened, I had some disbelief.
Orochi > Nests > Ash
But at least Nests arc gave some good characters; I can't like the characters in Ash arc as much.
I adore all the Orochi members except Orochi himself.
Was a bit disappointed when I saw the great godly boss was a man in white pants with tattoos. After the year with Goenitz, I was expecting something more impressive in the antagonist.

Honestly I'm hoping Shun'ei's arc won't be as crap as Tales of Ash. I also agree that NESTS Saga has awesome characters but the antagonists are kinda lame. Not even sure with who the bosses are in NESTS Saga.

I only know Shun'ei has a bit of relation with the last boss of KOF14. Here's hoping this story arc getting better! On the other hand, at least the other teams have their own mystery about them. Like Orochi's potential revival, the secret experiments on Nelson's arm, where does Hein come from, etc. Even if you don't like the most story, there's plenty other things to ponder about.
Agreed about the antagonists about NEST. My main issue was that too many of the bosses of that arc felt too similar; men in black trench-coat. Krizalid was still memorable but the rest felt that they used about the same design template. Do members of NEST like black leather coat very much? (But looking at K', I'll say YES)
Ash Saga had my brain locked when they introduced *Time Travel*. I hate those kind of stories because of potential time paradox issues. I can see they put effort into designing the characters, but I have difficulty liking them when I have other favourites in the same game.
I can't even get behind Shun'ei design; I think it's a case of trying-too-hard-to-be-cool. I can even accept Sylvie's design because it makes her unique and memorable.
Wow... pardon me for the rant.

I think the reason is Ash comes across as being a jerk.
K' has a bit of a edgy attribute, and he is a good character to use; but if I needed an edgy-attribute character, I look at Iori.
Iori is still my favourite moody fellow in KOF; threatening to kill everyone he meets.
It got to be the fashion to wear headphones now; a lot of anime characters are doing it. Does he get secret coaching tips through those headphones? "I notice your opponent is trying to get you into the corner! Build up the pressure!"
Ooh, I never played the Maximum Impact series. Couldn't get excited with the game looks.

Ah yes. I was also upset about that part about the powers-stealing.
I think it is quite normal for a protagonist to have more spotlight; it's just that his personality is very unlikeable, it is not something I like in protagonist. Kyo and K' didn't viciously go out to make use of people to get what they want.
I want to find out more about Kukri too. They didn't explain much, did they?
I still find it funny the thing that Iori hates the most is violence.
Ah, I forgot about K9999. He was a bit better, but I hold my view that the Orochi arc had more memorable antagonists than the NESTS arc.

He didn't feel very "protagonist" to me before the power-stealing plot. But after that, it seemed to be more and more obvious. XIII is where he can be most likable.
Nope. Just someone apparently hired by Elizabeth who happened to join Sylvie and Mian to get his cash prize lol
Orochi arc is indeed amazing. Not sure if Rugal arc was just as great though.

I think the Rugal arc was simple to understand and good.
It set up the understanding that this was a fighting tournament with its secrets.
Rugal as a last boss was very memorable too.
The joke would be why every team is still joining KOF each year even when crazy people/events always happen at the last bout.

Yes, but Rugal was important to help players get the mindset of the game; get in there and beat the big baddie.
Then in the orochi arc, you face a even bigger, stronger baddie.
It's like why you can't have a villain like Cell appear in the first volume of Dragonball; there's a build-up of how powerful and dangerous each sequel villain is.
Yes, I think Adel and Rose are canon. No comment about Maximum Impact characters; I didn't play it.
Adel was very polite and nice; and while I do not see him as a protagonist, I can respect his way of doing things.
Why do SNK bosses have such decently-behaved sons? I'm sure one could have a cup of tea with Rock Howard too.
Seriously, no one questions why they get an invitation each year and something bad happens? (Except KOF14 Antonov, the nice guy organizer genuinely didn't see the gate-crashing coming) . Maybe it's the annual catch-up party for all the characters; it's like the normal friendly greetings "Long time no see Andy! Are you finally married to Mai?" or something.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. KoFXIV has better graphics than Maximum Impact series. But the new update for KoFXIV graphics might make the graphics as bad or even worse than MI. Here's the video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se_q4B…
Rock was raised by Terry despite killing/defeating Geese and idk about Adel. Rose? She's only quite nasty when used by Botan, but is nice outside possession/mind control?
Some of them won't mind battling, mind you. Others are kinda not feeling it lol

Oh yes, I saw that graphic patch and am quite excited about it.
All the nay-sayer were ranting about the graphics, and I was quite alright.
After I saw that new textures and lighting effects on Kyo and Slyvie, quite hyped for the new look.
Good point, he got more Terry than Geese in him.
Maybe Rose would be nice except when you mess with her darling brother.
Some of them need that tournament excitement in their life or the extra cash.
I suspect Iori needs his regular dose of fighting with Kyo, as much as he keeps screaming about wanting to kill Kyo.

Hm, is Shun-ie more fainted in colour than previously? Maybe his textures have not been finalized yet.
Rock... Hard to say, in KOF14, he should have been a kid, but I saw Hotaru in the women team ending.
Since Rock and Hotaru are roughly the same age...
And if Rock is a teenager then, why isn't he coming to support Terry in KOF? Arghhh, timelines!
I wouldn't say Rose is a pacifist, but the impresson I get if that she could be charming if she wanted to be.
Also, she listens mostly to Adel who can keep her behaviour in check, I think.
Aww, Iori is just shy that someone called him out on his obsession with Kyo.
Iori could have better luck having friends if he didn't have a horrible track record of killing/beating up his team mates after a competition.
On the other note, he got to hang out with Vice and Mature; two gorgeous ladies because of their orochi eternal lives.
Iori, you lucky dude, you. Why do you get rewarded for being such a jerk?
