It now has some lore, although it’s not much and it’s half assed cause idk.

Papyrus, disgruntled by the advances of the capitol, took action. He wanted to kill off his brother to start things off, his death being the catalyst of his plan, but Sans was nowhere to be found. No matter, as Papyrus would continue anyway.

He became a drug lord with the help of his relations and began to build an empire until he had enough of an audience to set things into motion. Papyrus started riots across the underground, slandering the capitol and its endeavors.

Sans was enraged at Papyrus, seemingly trying to destroy everything he had ever worked for. So, he made a plan of his own. He would not only stop his brother from ruining everything and finally get rid of the leech, but he would also finally gain the respect of the capitol considering that he’d destroy a great threat to their power. And so he did. He slowly worked his way up the ranks, killing off one member of Papyrus’ organization at time before making it to the head. His brother. They fought, and Sans won.

Sans brought up his accomplishments to Alphys, but Alphys still refused, not even allowing Sans an ounce of her respect, seemingly spitefully. Sans was enraged, and so he decided to enact his sprite and reestablish the empire Papyrus had already created for him, and Sans had inherited, except running it far better than Papyrus ever could have. Sans would make sure the capitol realizes the mistake they made.
