Fantastic Work !!!!!!!

Ed McGuinness you are one of the best comics the world the artist, much admire your work I am a great fan and use your work as reference for my work.
This art is certainly my favorite it really has great strength and especially his Wolverine is as magnificent as that of Joe Mad.

How long on average does it take you to do a pinup or cover? Does it take the same amount of time as one of ur sequential pgs.? (jus curious)

I LIKE THE LAYOUT AND THE PENCIL DRAWING IS FAR MORE INTERESTING THAN THE TYPICAL COLORED VERSION.

WHY'D YOU CHOOSE TO PUT FROST AND COLOSSUS COCKED ON AN ANGLE? THEY MAY LOOK A LITTLE OUT OF PLACE PERSPECTIVE WISE, BUT IT'S A WELL DONE COMPOSITION AND ATTRACTIVE ON THE CHANGE IN THE ANGLES OF THE CHARACTERS.

EdMcGuinness In reply to RCarter [2007-08-24 14:22:42 +0000 UTC]

...while, part of the difficulty of drawing wizard covers is getting all the content that they want on the cover character wise and then leaving enough room for the type which can take up sometimes 40% of actual cover space...warpath was originally going to be on this cover but had to be cut because of text!

well i guess u just gotta do what u gotta do

just wanted to ask u one more question what is the length and width of the sketch template u drew this in, u know so its shrunken down for a set size to print?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EdMcGuinness In reply to RCarter [2007-08-24 20:15:29 +0000 UTC]

its done on an 11x17 board..standard comic paper size

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RCarter In reply to EdMcGuinness [2007-08-25 08:12:25 +0000 UTC]

damn thats big, i just measure a tpb and used that size, if i have a book im running at that size published now for quality i should prolly go with a minibook right?
