Depends on what fruit you use, actually (yes, tomato is a fruit. Not every tomato-type tastes the same, and neither does every grape-type. Those round ones people put on burgers? Yeah, no. Don't use those. Try using Cherry-tomatoes or Roma, though Cherry have a stronger taste. As to the grapes, seeded grapes in my experience tend to have a bitter taste to them whether you chomp on the seeds or not, so go with seedless. Also, for the best flavor do NOT buy them out of season.
Also, home-make it if you can. You'll have a better chance of it turning out to your liking as not everyone's taste buds are the same. Don't be afraid to try using honey or brown sugar (etc) as opposed to bleached-white sugar. Different sweeteners can make all the difference.
