I always thought it was kind of weird that Captain America wore a mask. If he's the embodiment of America, he shouldn't have anything to hide. I guess that's my main thought behind this sketch. Also, since the modern Marvel Universe is overflowing with technology, I figure Cap should have some gauntlets and boots that feature that. Something Iron-Man-ish. Maybe he can get a super-jump from the boots, and a few other fun things like that. Anyway, forgive the bad art. I've been off my game lately, but I'm at least happy I was able to finish the sketch.Related content

good point there with the boots/gauntlets. but i don't really like the red/white striping on the boots, or the fact that the gauntlets don't protect his hands/fingers.

I really enjoy this interpretation of Cap! Very nicely done! The only nitpicky criticism I have is that his gauntlets give the indication that he's Sergeant America instead of Captain.

That's not a half bad idea. I have the Duke with the electronic backpack and I'm not really happy with how he looks, so that might be a fun custom project. If you get around to doing it, be sure to post the results!
