Gears 2 had the best campaign in my opinion, and sadly the best part in Gears 3 was the death of Dom. I love this series, but unfortunately it's gone to complete shit (excuse the french

some part of me died inside when he died.

a few months ago my sister started playing gears 3 with me
and then she got me the first and second game, but we hadn't played
much of the third games campaign, so after we beat the 2nd game
we restarted on the 3rd game but I beat it months before so
on the level "blood brothers" it hit me all over again.
it was different seeing it happen to some one else.

I honestly felt more feels in the Gears 2 scene than in Gears 3. I thought the Mad World instrumental was a nice touch.

Honestly his death scene really caught me off guard, and i was a little sad but very impressed that Epic had the balls to do that.

Agreed, I never thought they'd kill off a character that players could/did become so attached to. I remember the first time I saw it my eyes went wide & I said "no way..." I caught myself getting sad when I read the books & they brought it up.

Aww. Unfortunately, in my opinion, everything after that moment in the game in terms of action was pretty stale and not really as good as Epic was making it out to be.

Yea, the ending was rather anticlimactic (Adam's death was touching tho). The whole feel after Dom's death was worn out. Like the realization of all the bad things that had happened up to that point had finally caught upto the characters & it transferred to the player (I bond entirely too much with characters
