Amazing cloud break observed from one of the many viewpoints along the Skyline Drive of Shenandoah National Park. This is facing west.
This picture, as well as all the others, are dedicated to our awesome friends Gretchen and Dave, who gave us a car out of nowhere to do this trip. Without them this trip would have been impossible. Another special thanks goes to jonathanjessup for putting together a fantastic list of places to visit in very short notice! He enabled us to just go and make the most of our time.

Ich weiß nicht genau warum (vermutlich wegen den durch die Wolkendecke brechenden Sonnenstrahlen), aber das Foto hat eine unglaublich beruhigende Wirkung. Trotz vieler klassischer Elemente - Landschaft und Grün könnte man so in der Form vermutlich auch in der Eifel z.B. finden - hat das Foto etwas besonderes an sich, das dazu führt, dass ich es mir sehr gerne anschaue und mich in Gedanken darin verliere.
Ich weiß nicht, ob es nachvollziehbar ist, aber selbst wenn nicht, die Kernaussage ist einfach, dass mir das Foto sehr gut gefällt.

Landschaftlich war es hier durchaus sehr ähnlich zu dem, was man in deutschen Mittelgebirgen findet. Im Detail dann natürlich doch etwas anders (andere Baumarten etc.) man konnte definitiv die Parallelen sehen. Es freut mich auf jedenfall sehr, dass das Photo so eine Wirkung auf dich hat! Ich denke auch ich kann gut verstehen, was du meinst, da es mir in einiges Fällen auch so geht und dann gar nicht direkt benennen kann, was am entsprechenden Bild dieses Gefühl auslöst.
