This is the first character reference sheet I've done for any of the Zodiac characters. It was a lot of fun & I'll have to do another sometime. She looks great... you shouldn't change her...
The writing makes her seem less like a drawing and more like a real person.
I've been inventing a character with powers similar to Storm but she is nothing like her.

I'm a little worried that the similarities are still too great between Aquarius and Storm so I'm entertaining the idea of changing her more.

you don't need to change her more as long as people understand you're not infrainging the copyright laws and acknowledge that she has storms powers then you should not have any problems.

Yeah. Originally she was even more similar to Storm. I changed her a bit to further distance her from that character. I may need to change her more though.

There is a star-shaped brush in photoshop. I just varying the width and dragging out strokes of white. Thanks for the compliment. Do you think I should do the next character in this style or something like I've done before? The only one left is Pisces.
