Curious - ID using a cell-phone. Reminds me of a detail in a Cthulhu Mythos role-playing game where, at one point, Cthulhu sends a fake phone call to one of the investigators -to lure him to the bell tower where a trap has been set ! The inter-active story involves dream research, and Cthulhu's newest plan to transfer his mind into a new body generated by the technology in that dream probing center. Published by Chaosium.

Great expression work in panel four, hee hee, surprise! Id is looking creepier, with two sets of pupils and irises in the same eyeball! shudder Very effective design! Alright! We'll have a good ol' fashioned knock-down-drag-out fight, which is much more Saurus's style. All this planning and waiting must be driving him nuts.

Shadowstar can control both light and darkness. His light powers are mostly offensive and his darkness powers are used to blind or confuse his enemies. He can also fly.

I really want to see him trash the fellow. You capture the desire to have just that one little snag hit in the story perfectly. I both really dislike the eldritch fellow, and have to respect adapting to the defeats. Here's to finding a villains approach to heroic problem solving.

Thanks! Well, I figure why can't the villains adapt a little too? That makes them all that more dangerous y'know? So often, the villains plans are so complicated that one snag will totally destroy everything so the hero is blatantly trying to exploit that weakness from the start.

No, I think it is right. When he refers to one of "you" he mean Saurus and his phantasm clone. Unless one of them dies, both will cease to exist but Id himself is independent of that relationship.

Yes, he's hiding in shadow right now. He will be very similar to Saurus but he will look more like a dinosaur and more feral than Saurus. He'll still have the tattoos though.

Well, Saurus has a reason to save them as well. If he saved himself, but him and the clone would cease to exist, so I think he's got a reason to go.

That would have been funny but I'm trying to move Saurus away from being such a jerk. That would be a juvenile thing to do. Borrow a phone, then crush it out of anger. I can see if it was your own phone but not someone else's who is trying to help you.
It was something I can almost see him doing though.

It's just a rather over-used stunt to show off the character's anger. I've seen it in tons of movies, books, comics and just about any other media there is.
And I wouldn't say he would do it out of malice as much as he just doesn't give that much of a damn about Sunspear to spare the phone if his anger targets it.
But then again that's how I'm looking at the character and I'm not the creator of him.

This turned out pretty great, and I love Sunspear and Saurus's expressions in the fourth panel. They're surprised big time, and I love Saurus in the last panel as well, he is not amused at all.
Also, I'm not sure if you noticed it, but there's a typo in ID's speech bubble, I think you meant to say he put up a brief fight when I think what you meant to say, he put up a brief fight, but other then that, it looks very good!
I still see the clone is dark at the moment, saving that until we get to the actual fight huh?
