what a spectacular portrait..she is quite the beautiful! I remember when you tried to pass yourself off as a "beginning" and "learning" photographer (of course, we are all in a state of constant learning..but you know what I mean 
I even enjoy these imperfections in the wall as well..the whtie spots, etc. It would seem obvious to maybe clone them out or something..but they help add interest to this I think..

That's awsome. For me, it tends to capture that feel of mystification that comes with a new place, its as if she is in a destination which she's been waiting to reach, like a vacation spot, and finally she's there and it's all she could have hoped.
At the same time she looks to be yearning. I think it's lovely.

Bro, it's time to get that soft box. You've had that 85mm for no more than a couple of months and already you're taking pictures like this. I've never seen anyone "earn" their portrait lenses this fast, seriously...

heh, you know what's funny? After I posted this picture and was viewing it, I saw the shadow and thought, "ah, so that's where a softbox comes in handy"
I've had the lens for a little over a month, but that was second time shooting with it. I hardly would say I've familiar with it already. Getting it to focus right was a challenge.
Anyhow, I'm greatly enjoying portraits, I'm finding. I need to make a webpage soon, so I use to lure more people to model. And I also need to read so much more on it.
And finally, I hope someone heard you about the lightning kit.

I like the balance in this of negative space and the girl, the direction of the lighting, the side composition and square layout give this an edge that would be missing if you hadn't made those choices.
I love the lighting and the sepia, such a richness to it all.
