Very nice, but I noticed Indominus is missing its thumb. Indominus rex has four fingers on each hand, not three and its thumb is opposable.

Only one name makes no sense. What does "tryko" mean in Latin or Greek?

If it helps to accept it, let's consider that name not an actual proper scientific name in-universe either, but rather a "marketing" name InGen came up with, something easy to remember, just like "Indominus rex".

That's probably also where "Gigaspikasaur" comes from. The Predasaurs franchise is also pretty bad at naming their hybrids. Tricerabeetlus ( Triceratops and beetle ) and Tyrantegosaurus ( Tyrannosaurus and Stegosaurus ) come to mind.

I’m sure that developers of JWA didn’t use to think about the meaning of this name. It’s a hybrid of T.rex and a hybrid of Ankylosaurus and Kentrosaurus - I can’t really understand where does “Tryko” come from these guys.

It's more of a mix between the name of Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops.

That doesn't answer the question.

It's not meant to be Latin, it's meant to be more of a common name, I think.

In that case, they were probably better off naming it "Ankylotyrannus". I don't hate the new hybrid dinosaurs in Jurassic World: Alive, but the names the developers chose for them are just plain terrible.
