Ramses is one of the famous real life pharaohs, and I fell for him from the flashback scenes from a documentary series about famous egyptologists. Ramses appears in the ones about Geovani Belzoni.

Tut was in the two episodes previous to the ones about Belzoni and Ramses. The series I've watched and own on dvd is called Egypt: Rediscovering a lost world. The first two episodes are on Howard Carter and Tut, the following two on my Ramses and Belzoni's discoveries in Egypt and the last two on the decoding of hieroglyphs
