Don't be discouraged ! I'm a watcher of yours and it's for a good reason : your art is amazing !
You already got a good level in art ! Just keep trying and never give up. We always have things to learn but that don't mean that they are insurmountable ! Look at my paintings, they're nothing but I still believe that I'm doing well and this encourages me to continue advancing.
Nice piece of art by the way ! Faved it ! <3

Thanks. I guess I just want different things from art than what people see on my gallery. When I started out, I wanted to be a concept artist. Now that I've spent a little over a year doing this, I realize that I want to make up my own story and start a comic book series lol. And comic books are hard to draw, and I don't even know how I would go about publishing it.

Well, we'll see. I hope I'll do at least something art-related in the future, whatever it may be.

You just DO NOT think about giving up ! Master your art to gain present satisfaction and one day you'll find yourself ready for all of this ! Don't think alot about future things, this disorients.

Almost insurmountable. Fear of failure is honest, but the truth is you can learn/do anything. The only thing that ever changes is the amount of time and dedication it will take. If it took you 40 years to be awesome, would that not still be worth it? You will age 40 years either way. So you can be great at art then or stop trying and not be an artist in 40 years.

It's okay to be discouraged, but don't think of the mountain of information ahead. Instead think of the first 50 ft. in front you of and climb it, make camp, and start the next 50 ft when you are ready/able.

Keep going, we can do this!

Well, I suppose even if I learned a little bit every month, I could be good enough by the time I'm 40. But realistically speaking, I'm still gonna need a job sometime soon and I've always relied on art to be my go-to career... until now, when I've come to the realization that it's not as simple as some make it out to be. I never had a Plan B, so to say.

I'm with you man, same boat. You gotta find work doing what you can, and put in those hours if you want the end result. I'm working a shitty job, 20- 30 hrs a week and keeping my bills as low as possible to keep time free for practicing. Don't make a plan B, resolve yourself to find the funding and drive to make plan A work.

Just ask yourself if you wanna become a great artist. Be honest about it. And if the answer is yes, then just keep up trying until you're on pair with your idols. You got it in you

I do, I want a lot of things from life. And I think I should focus on only one at a time. And art has always been a kind of thing that I was actually somewhat good at, unlike the other things that I tried out. But I'm so lazy and impatient, and I don't think either of those pairs well with art.

Obviously the decision is yours to make. In my eyes you've got it in you to be an incredible artist, but if that's not what makes you happy, maybe it's really time to change course.
