A dog? What is this?

So I've been sketching new refs all day, and felt like doing something else. So I drew a dog. I'll see how many of my Salukis I can enter in the show, going to do each dog's entries before moving onto any others in case I run out of mojo / time. Obviously, I'm not as good at drawing (and shading) dogs as I am horses, so don't judge me.

beautiful picture! Next to pit bulls, Salukis are my second favorite breed of dog. You are the first I have ever seen to have drawn one, and done so correctly. love it!

I only ever lay down highlights, which I guess means I only ever put on the shinies

Salukis are an absolutely gorgeous breed. Had the pleasure of knowing one throughout my childhood; one of the most beautiful, elegant and composed animals I've ever come across.

Normally, I'm not a dog person. Like, really. I'm much more of a birds / obscure pets / horse person. Anything but dogs and cats.

But Salukis... if I were ever to have a dog, it would be a Saluki
