Description
A birthday present for my mom! It's a bit simpler then I wanted. I might do it again, with a smaller, higher moon, a few stars, and make the tree less stark . and more japanese-ish. done from a picture of mine. the original scene was lovely, I think a bit of it was lost from the picture to painting.Medium: Acrylic on wood board

You should go all-out Sumi-E! That would look awesome, with the backdrop of color and the outlines of the trees. I wish I were better at Sumi-E, but you're good at painting! I'm sure you could pull it off.
By the way, I REALLY wanted to do that watercolor class with you in Maine, but my mom told me about it too late and we didn't know the time or anything and we were going to Acadia that day too. It's a shame

Well, I used them a bit when I got them in the winter, but I didn't really get into it. Then Mom and I bought some acrylics a few days ago, and so I started liking painting a lot, and so I took it up again! I'll try to post one or two good Sumi-es (er... what's the plural of Sumi-e?!)
Yes! Next year. I really do want to go.
