This piece creates a very nice atmosphere with an interesting, possibly underground lake setting. I like the small details with the hands and anatomy, and the development of appropriate shading- given that the light source is within/is the lake. Although there are some areas lower on the figure that could have used darker shading (Top of thighs, under the pecs, top of hips) similar to the nature of the shading towards the shoulders- which is done very well. There also could be darker values around the teeth and the upper half of the head, because of the distance from the light source, and the nature of the values around the shoulders. The colors on the head could have been tweaked some more in order to match the more analogous colors that are primarily used on the piece. For originality though, this particular character/form is used very often within your pieces, and while this piece stands out because of the strong use of values and color, there are still other pieces that have a very similar theme, and appear almost like earlier takes on this vision.
